Creating jewelry can be rewarding and enjoyable, but there are dangers due to heat and sharp objects.

Please read carefully before beginning. By using your kit, you agree to follow all safety instructions and accept full responsibility for safe use.

Have a good time, not an injury. Here's how:

1

Supervision Required for Minors

Anyone under 18 must be closely supervised by an adult.

Even with supervision, minors should never handle the jewel blade or other sharp tools, nor should they use any heat-based techniques.

The kit can be a great creative activity for younger makers, but all tool use and heating must be done by a competent adult.

2

Cut Away From Yourself (and Anything You Care About)

The jewel blade is razor sharp and can slip unexpectedly.

Always carve or cut away from your body and hands, and keep your fingers and other things you don't want to cut clear of the cutting path.

3

Molten wax can easily burn you

Hot wax can cause serious burns if handled carelessly. NEVER take impressions of minors or pets in hot wax. Use Heirloom wax instead!

Competent adults can take fingerprint impressions, but only once the wax has cooled almost completely and formed a soft surface.

Do not touch, stir, or pour wax while it’s still liquid. Avoid splashing, dripping, or handling wax that hasn’t almost completely resolidified.

4

Flames and Sharp Tools Are Optional

You can make beautiful pieces with sandpaper and shaping tools alone. The jewel blade and open flame are not required for great results.

5

Your Responsibility

Use common sense and caution. By using the kit, you acknowledge that Cahve is not responsible for injury, damage, or misuse.

Be careful, take your time, and create safely.
