Capturing an impression in wax takes seconds, and is super safe for delicate skin and animals. Simply press down into the wax, return in the post and we’ll cast and hand polish in solid recycled Gold or Silver.

What's inside the kit

You will receive a selection of three pre-sized impression waxes. These are pre-weighed to match the pendant size ordered.

You will also receive a tin for your favourite impression, another tin for your spare backup impressions, a freepost return envelope and a set of instructions.

Once returned to Cahve, we will cast and finish your design in beautiful precious metal and return to you on a chain.

Mould and Duplicate

Silicon moulds can be created using your finished casting so that beautiful replicas can be cast and created into the future.

Turn your treasured necklace into lasting memories by casting several replicas to gift to friends and family, or request a mould of your pendant for future safekeeping.

Pendants are one-of-one by design. We cast one, and this is what you receive as a necklace. If you purchase a silicon ‘lifetime’ mould, this is securely stored in a walk-in vault alongside our solid gold and platinum stocks - as safe as money in a bank.

Your questions answered

Can I get a pendant in solid Gold or Platinum?

Yes, absolutely! Special jewellery like this deserves a special metal. We can cast your impression necklaces in most base precious metals, including 9kt to 18kt Yellow, White and Rose Gold, and also Platinum.

Base metal upgrades such as Gold or Platinum are paid for when you return your wax to us for casting, and are priced according to the current market rates. You can explore some prices here, including base metal upgrades.

If this is something of interest, you don't need to worry about paying for it now. Our online wax return form will ask you for your preferred base metal.

Once we receive your wax back, we will confirm the weight and send over a quick payment link to confirm your upgrade. Easy peasy!

What are the wax balls used for?

Your wax ball will be lost wax cast into a beautiful solid precious metal. This means that the wax to return to us will be exactly the same once returned, except in a beautiful solid precious metal. It is important that you do not combine the wax balls as they have all been pre-weighed to your chosen casting type.

The wax balls are not used to take the impression from, they are the literal pendants that you are creating.

This means that you have the full control and freedom over the size and shape, and the location of your impression.

Can I make more than one necklace?

Your kit includes one pendant and chain prepaid for.

However, you absolutely CAN make more than once necklace. If you'd like to make more, this can all be paid for on our wax return form.

Let's look at options:

Use the Other Waxes
Your kit includes three wax balls. One can be used for your included pendant, and the others can be used to create additional ones. Each additional pendant can be purchase with or without a silver chain. If purchased without, the price of the chain is deducted from the total.

Duplicate the Wax
If you want more than one copy of the original necklace, we can take a mould of it and duplicate it as many times as you like. Again, this is handled on the online wax return form.

Can I create a double sided impression?

Yes!! And these look amazing 🤩

It's a little more tricky, but this is made possible by pushing on the wax ball from both sides at the same time. Be careful not to push too hard, but once complete this style looks so beautiful on a necklace.

Is it safe for newborns and children?

Yes. The wax we use has been independently tested for health and safety. The materials are non-hazardous and non-toxic to humans.

However, please exercise caution as ever whilst using the product. Please do not ingest it and ensure any young children are supervised whilst using the kit.

How long is the kit valid for after I buy it?

Each kit comes with a casting voucher for the pendant size that you've paid for (i.e. the mini or micro). All Cahve casting vouchers come with a 6-month validity window that covers the full price of casting in silver and protects you against any price fluctuations into the future - even if the casting price increases for your chosen casting type.

Outside of this 6-month window, you are more than welcome to use your casting voucher, however, a reactivation fee would be automatically applied on our wax return form. This fee steadily increases over time.

Available on the wax return form we have the option to add yellow or rose gold plating, precious and semi-precious stones, birthstones, engraving and more!
